PANTONE 18-3838 Ultra Violet
It’s only February and we are already LOVING the widespread use of Pantone’s Colour for 2018 – PANTONE 18-3838 Ultra Violet! The Pantone colour of the year has long been synonymous with setting fashion trends. More importantly for us Interior Designers – it sets new and exciting trends in furniture and interiors.
Pantone says the deep purple shade was chosen to evoke a ‘counterculture flair, a grab for originality, ingenuity and visionary thinking,’. It would seem that 2018’s bold colour of the year is already proving to be truly striking and distinctive. Users of the colour are encouraged to be innovative with their use. To make bold statements and above all, to be truly original!
(Bearing in mind our own brand colours not being too far away – we are rather excited about what the possibilities might be here)
From entire lavish rooms of wall-to-wall Ultra Violet, to the careful placement of subtle yet beautiful Ultra Violet accessories. Here at Metier Rendezvous, we’ve been keeping a keen eye on the creative ways Interior Designers have been using Pantone 18-3838 so far. See some of our favourites below: –
Pantone’s Advice for Interior Designers
“In interiors, Ultra Violet can transform a room into one of extraordinary self-expression, or conversely its polish can tone down a room with subdued, modern pairings. Adding spice and brightness, Ultra Violet calls attention to a tufted couch, piece of art, or accent wall. As a colour that can take you in so many directions, Ultra Violet makes a statement in any space, whether it’s one of tradition and elegance or unexpected boldness…..”
