How Caiger Art got started…
Mothers and daughters can make an indomitably dynamic team, and Carol and Amy Caiger are no exception. Founded in 2013 by this mother and daughter duo, Caiger Art is an art consultancy firm and gallery based in Ewell Village, Surrey. Their mission is to bring affordable contemporary art into everyone’s home. They don’t rely on big-ticket prices to deliver beautifully current artwork.
Choosing art shouldn’t be intimidating. They have turned the convention of art being elitist and pompous on its head, Caiger Art Gallery are friendly, approachable and welcoming – refreshingly, there’s no sense of grandiose pomp here. Carol and Amy’s enthusiasm for making the buying of art fun and accessible is contagious.
From paintings, limited edition prints, drawings, sculptures and photography, Carol and Amy have the knowledge and confidence to work alongside designers to find the project’s perfect piece. They source the ideal artwork for you and your client, taking into account the room’s purpose, colour palette and scale. Carol works alongside Interior Designer’s based all around the country. However should you wish to view a particular piece in advance or perhaps even take your client, then you can arrange with Carol and Amy to pop in to their viewing gallery in the lovely village of Ewell in Surrey.
Caiger Art have expertly teamed up with some exciting handpicked emerging artists, to provide designers with pieces of art that exude character while telling a unique story – something that just doesn’t come with mass-produced artwork. Well considered art should breathe with a room, not overpower or stifle it. This is echoed by the gallery’s ethos; Carol and Amy believe that by sharing the backstory of the artwork and artist, the piece is given life.
